HostIQ connects to Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo through calendar links (iCal). Calendar links carry dates only: they block nights so two guests can't book the same night, but prices, guest details and messages stay on each channel. Channel sync is on the Professional and Enterprise plans.
Connect a channel
- In the channel's calendar settings, copy its calendar export (iCal) link.
- In HostIQ, open the unit, go to the Channels tab, pick the channel and paste the link under Add a calendar.
- HostIQ then shows a link next to that channel. Copy it and add it to the channel's calendar import. It carries your HostIQ bookings and the reservations from your other channels, so every channel stays in step.
Record the reservations that come in
When a new reservation arrives on a channel, HostIQ notifies owners and managers and lists it on the unit's Channels tab under Reservations to record. Choose Record booking, add the guest and the amount, and save. For Airbnb reservations HostIQ also shows the confirmation code and the last 4 digits of the guest's phone.
Changes and cancellations
If a recorded reservation moves to different dates or disappears from the channel's calendar, HostIQ tells you so you can update or cancel the booking. If two channels show reservations for the same nights, or a channel's reservation overlaps a booking already in HostIQ, HostIQ warns you so you can check. HostIQ never changes a booking on its own.
Set each channel's commission under Settings, then Channels, so owner statements deduct the right fee.
