Cookie Policy

This policy explains how HostIQ uses cookies and similar technologies.

Last Updated: July 2026

What Are Cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies (such as browser storage) are small pieces of data kept on your device that help the site work and, where you allow it, help us understand how it is used. First-party analytics beacons are also covered by this policy.

How We Use Cookies

Strictly necessary (always active)

These keep you signed in and keep the platform secure. The site cannot function without them, so they do not require your consent.

  • Authentication and session
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Error and performance monitoring
  • Remembering essential preferences

Error monitoring is part of keeping the service working: it is how we find out that a page has broken for you at all. It records the technical details of a fault — the error, the page it happened on, and your browser version — together with a small sample of page-load timings. It is not used to build a profile of you, and we do not attach your IP address to it.

Analytics (optional — only with your consent)

With your consent, we use first-party analytics to understand how our Help Center is used, recorded with a hashed IP address and never a raw one. This does not run until you opt in, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

HostIQ does not use third-party advertising or marketing tracking cookies.

Managing Your Choices

You can change your cookie choices at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in our website footer. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings, though certain features may not function properly if strictly-necessary cookies are disabled.
