Coming from another property management system? Bring your units and bookings across from a spreadsheet. Only the account owner can import.
1. Export from your old system
Export your units and bookings to Excel or CSV. If your old system can't export, download HostIQ's templates under Settings, then Import from another system, and fill them in.
2. Import units, then bookings
- Go to Settings, then Import from another system.
- Choose your units file. HostIQ checks every row and lists any problems before you import.
- Choose your bookings file. Each booking is matched to a unit by its name, so import units first.
- Fix any rows listed as not imported and import the file again. Bookings already brought across are skipped.
What gets imported
- Past and upcoming stays, with their source (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, direct and so on) and reservation code.
- What each guest has paid, recorded as payments on the booking.
- Guests, matched to guests already in HostIQ by email or phone. Imported guests aren't texted.
- Stays that have already ended come in as checked out.
3. Switch your channels over
Disconnect your old system from Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo first: Booking.com doesn't allow calendar links while another channel manager is connected. Then connect each channel's calendar on the unit's Channels tab. An imported booking whose source and dates match a channel's reservation is linked to it automatically.
Between disconnecting your old system and adding HostIQ's calendar links, nothing keeps your channels in step. Make the switch on a quiet day and watch for new bookings on each channel until it's done.
